The Fiton Technology
- FITON holds a proprietary technology called “FITON Biocatalysis Process” which offers best-in-industry results across a range of services, from decontamination solutions at industrial sites to bioremediation solutions for onshore and offshore oil and gas operations.
- The uniquely trademarked Biocatalysis Process facilitates effective waste management and remediation of contaminated sites at significantly less cost than traditional methods, as proven by extensive field trials and previous projects.
- The Fiton Biocatalysis process, can rapidly breakdown crude either in almost pure form or in sludge to non-toxic innocuous/harmless materials such as water and low levels of carbon dioxide. The more Fiton products used, the faster the breakdown.
The FITON Bio-Catalysis Product
Our product, Micro-FITON is a combination of natural Microbes and nutrients including NPK, THE FITON and mineral elements such as Na, K, Mg, needed for cell metabolism and maintenance energy. Micro-FITON also contains bio-surfactants which amongst other functions help to increase the surface area per unit volume for attack by the microbes to ensure speedier degradation.
Effectiveness In Depths
Micro-FITON has proven effective to depths of 20 metres where oxygen is scarce or non-existent. The product can treat contaminants that would normally be considered recalcitrant by other bioremedial processes. The Fiton bio-catalysis product is able to recover oil entrapped in heterogeneous media at great depths, (measured in kilometres) through a process called Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery (MEOR). This feature has the capability of turning low or non- producing wells into an economic windfall for the petroleum industry.
Easy Application
- Although the technology we use is complex, its application is simple. For this reason, we not only provide turn-key services, but also sell Micro-FITON products separately on a case-by-case basis for the remediation of:
- Oil & Oil sludge in Vessels or Tanks
- Drill cuttings from Oil Exploration
- Free Oil on surface or column of Salt Water or Fresh Water
- Oil or other Organic Chemicals in Soil, IN-SITU OR EX-SITU
- Heavy Metals found in Brownfield and Industrial Sites
- Mine Site Remediation, including Soil and Groundwater Cleanups
